Hello and welcome! We are happy to have you here, but first a couple things!

1. Hatching eggs are always a gamble. Shipped hatching eggs are double that gamble!
2. We DO NOT offer refunds on hatching eggs. Once they leave our possession I cannot guarantee anything about them. We get a 90%+ hatch rate on our farm, that does not mean you will get that! While I hope you do, with shipped eggs anything close to 50% is a good hatch!
3. The air sacs on eggs are extremely fragile and while we do our best to package them in a way to try and help lessen the chance of them being hurt in transit it does, unfortunately, still happen.
4. I recommend ordering DOUBLE the amount of chicks you want to hatch due to shipping. Plus, on a good hatch you get 50% roosters and 50% pullets... So if you only buy 12. Get a 50% hatch that gives you 6 chicks. If you are lucky you'll end up with 3 hens from that hatch!
5. Everything you order on our website is a PRE- ORDER and orders begin getting filled around the first of March. We open orders the beginning of December. If you are wanting eggs NOW this is not the way to do it. Ordering in December secures you a dozen, but not until the girls start laying. Some breeds are slower to start than others. If you can't wait for 6-8 weeks. Please don't place an order with me. 
6. Please do not send me angry messages asking for a refund if you don't get an excellent hatch rate, or if you PRE-ORDERED eggs and they don't ship right away. This was all covered in this top area. You also will have to AGREE to our refund policy before even placing an order.

K&L Farms raises egg laying breeds that are less common. All of our breeds have come from reputable breeders across the United States. We are a small operation with small flocks this makes it possible to insure the health of our birds. Our flocks well being is our number one priority. We also don't keep mean roosters. If they are mean they go, we only breed docile roosters.
