Nigerian Goats
We raise quality ADGA Nigerian Dwarf goats, in hopes to bring strong milking lines into more small homesteads. In 2024 a friend of mine who raises goats for milk and meat gave us some goats milk to try from her herd. I was skeptical at first because I had tried store bought goats milk and cheese in the past and it tasted about how you'd expect it to taste. Like a goat smells or straight barnyard, gross! When she brought us the milk I actually made my husband and kids taste it first and watched their reactions prior to tasting it myself. They were all actually shocked and said it was really good. So I tried it, I was SHOCKED at how creamy and delicious it actually was! It was at that point my herd started collecting. Now a year later we own 16 purebred Nigerian goats! In the fall of 2024 we applied to get our milk permit, to be able to share with others. All of our goats come from a disease free and tested herd which we pride ourselves on. We are also always trying to better the herd, to get better, stronger milking lines. My goal is to end up with goats we can do extended lactation on and only have to breed every 2 years. Less kidding, less kids we have to try and sell. At any given time we may have some for sale, so it never hurts to reach out and ask.
